The Philippines has detected its first case of Monkeypox virus in the country on July 29, 2022. To prevent and control its transmission, the Department of Health issued Department Circulars no. 2022-0220, no. 2022-0291 and no. 2022-0390 which are interim guidelines for the management, infection control, surveillance and screening of Monkeypox.
