In light of the recent onslaught of Typhoon Emong, which severely affected various parts of the country—particularly the province of Pangasinan—in July 2025, this Office hereby directs all concerned schools, especially those with existing DepEd Computerization Program (DCP) equipment, to assess and submit a detailed report on the current status and any damages sustained by the said ICT packages. This directive is issued in line with the provisions of DepEd Order No. 65, s. 2017, titled "Guidelines on the Conduct of Post-Disaster Needs Assessment in the Education Sector," which seeks to evaluate the impacts of disasters on educational assets, learners, and personnel; identify and prioritize recovery and reconstruction needs; and formulate a responsive recovery plan aimed at building back better in the affected regions and schools divisions.
