PARTICIPATION OF SCHOOLS AND DEPED OFFICES IN THE 38TH NATIONAL DISASTER RESILIENCE MONTH (NDRM) 2026 ACTIVITIES

Executive Order No. 137, s. 1999 declared the month of July as National Disaster Consciousness Month. The observance was renamed to National Disaster Resilience Month

(NDRM) by virtue of Executive Order No. 29, s. 2017 to highlight the Shift from disaster awareness building to disaster resilience. The annual observance of the NDRM throughout

the country aims to promote and strengthen disaster resilience. It marks a strategic transition from merely raising disaster awareness to cultivating a culture of resilience highlighting the capacity of individuals, communities, institutions, and the government to adapt to, withstand, and recover from various hazards through effective risk reduction and coordinated efforts.
