DIVISION RESKILLING OF KEY STAGE 2 TEACHERS IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION AND GRAMMAR FOR COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE

Division Phil-IRI results for Grades 4—6 (SY 2025-2026) reveal that 23.96% of learners are reading three levels below grade level, 29.86% are reading two levels below, and only 46.17% are reading at grade level. These findings emphasize the need to strengthen English instruction in Key Stage 2 to address gaps in decoding, vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension skills.
